When the student is ready, the teacher appears…

Any individual, regardless of age must be motivated to learn. Motivation comes in all sizes and flavors, but there is no “one size fits all” approach. Over the decades, I’ve studied and practiced many approaches to education.  I’ve learned that student-teacher symbiosis is critical, and I understand my particular style may not be for every learner.

With traditional education, by virtue of its inherent design, students are taught to develop a codependent relationship with their teacher. Students are conditioned to seek validation and approval, and often have difficulty with closure.

A teacher is merely a guide.

This website is designed to teach learners how to identify areas of interest and importance to them, and then to teach themselves. Successful educational practice need not always result with a pass or fail grade. It’s critical that students accept responsibility for their lives and learning, and develop a strong, self-sustaining, independent thirst for knowledge.

When students identify and design their own curriculum and take responsibility for their learning, their potential is limitless and the master they serve is themself…
